Overview
Agilysys offers a comprehensive suite of hospitality solutions, and one critical aspect of this suite is the payment process for hotel guests. During my tenure, I was tasked with improving the payment experience for hotel guests. The goal was to create a seamless and convenient process for guests to pay their bills, edit the amount to be paid, and securely store their payment information for future use.

Problem Statement
The existing payment folio system posed several challenges
Complexity
The payment process was cumbersome, requiring guests to visit the front desk for each transaction or call room service, leading to delays and inconvenience.
Lack of Flexibility
Guests could not easily edit the amount to be paid or add additional charges to their folio without extensive manual intervention.
Security Concerns
Storing card information securely was crucial to comply with industry standards and ensure guest trust.
Overview of Folios
The home screen is the first screen the user views as they click on the payment link

The home screen is the initial screen users see when they click on the payment link. It provides an overview of all the folios generated during their hotel stay.

Users can easily filter these folios by payment status, folio date, and invoices.

The screen also presents a clear and distinct view of whether each individual folio is payable or has already been paid, as well as the overall payment status.
Individual Folio Details
Users have the capability to adjust payments for a folio, including the ability to:

Review all transactions associated with each folio, with a comprehensive view of both credit and debit statuses.

Employ filters to streamline the selection of invoices from the detailed invoice list.
Time to pay
Upon making changes to the payment amount or confirming it, users are directed to the payment screen.

This payment process is safeguarded by PCA Compliance, adhering to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Users have the option to sign the payment before completing the transaction.

After confirming the payment, users can proceed to finalize the payment.
